Robotics programme at ROBBO Club Barcelona

A complete, hands-on robotics programme for children and teenagers
At ROBBO Club Barcelona, we offer a complete robotics programme for children and teenagers, designed to develop technical, logical and creative skills from the first steps through to advanced projects. Our approach combines mechanics and 3D modelling, electronics and circuit design, and programming so that every learner progresses through practical work.

Classes take place in small age-based groups at our spacious centre in the heart of Barcelona, with flexible weekday and Saturday schedules. The programme is organised into modules covering the main areas of robotics, and new students can join at any time of year at a level and pace suited to them.

Children and teenagers develop algorithmic thinking, creativity and teamwork while working with real technology, including robots, computers, 3D printers and hands-on learning kits. Our aim is for every student to learn by doing, discover robotics in an enjoyable and motivating way, and build a strong foundation for the future.
FROM PLAYING TO BUILDING A BUSINESS
I'M PLAYING
Algorithms, ROBBO Junior, Snap Circuits, a 3D pen and age-appropriate reading activities.
I'M LEARNING
ROBBO Junior, Scratch, ArduBlock, Arduino IDE, App Inventor, ROBBO Lab, Robot Kit, electronics, 3D modelling and mechanics.
I'M CREATING
Electronic circuits and expansion boards; wheeled, tracked, walking and beam robots; smart-home and IoT projects; and games in Unity.
I'M INVENTING
I know what I want to build and how to achieve it. I create my own projects and take part in STEAM competitions.
I'M STARTING MY OWN BUSINESS
I can evaluate my project, build a team and launch my own start-up.
I'M GROWING
I can raise funds to expand my business, find international partners and begin exporting.

A 4+2-YEAR ROBOTICS PATHWAY

The ROBBO Club programme is structured as four main annual courses plus two preparatory courses, creating a complete pathway for children and teenagers aged 5–15.

Preparatory courses (2): introduce younger children to the basics of robotics, programming and technology through playful, gradual activities.

Main courses (4): develop mechanics and 3D modelling, electronics and circuit design, and programming, strengthening technical skills, logical thinking and creativity year by year.

This structure lets every child progress at a suitable pace, join at any point and build a strong foundation in technology and science throughout their school years.

The ROBBO Club learning pathway includes four core years and two preparatory years.

ROBBO Core Equipment

The ROBBO Robot Kit helps children and adults learn robotics and programming through practical, engaging activities. Its magnetic sensors can be used to recreate technologies found in everyday devices, from smartphones to household appliances, encouraging creativity and experimentation.

The kit is programmed with ROBBO Scratch, a visual language that requires no previous experience, and comes with an educational guide containing clear instructions and practical exercises.

Built around an Arduino microcontroller, it supports up to five connected sensors and optional Bluetooth. Durable and reliable, it is ideal for learning, experimenting and developing logical thinking, problem-solving and teamwork skills.

ROBBO Lab is an excellent introduction to technology for children. Although it does not move on its own, it lets students explore light, sound and physics through engaging activities that combine numerical values, robotics and programming.

For children under 7
• Programming with ROBBO Junior, a visual language designed for children who are not yet confident readers.
• Supports guided play activities and simple experiments.

For children aged 7–10
• Programming with ROBBO Scratch and Processing, with Arduino compatibility.
• Introduction to microelectronics and circuits without additional accessories.
• Prototyping robots for concepts such as Smart Home and Smart City.

For children aged 11–15
• Arduino compatibility, with programming in ROBBO Scratch and the Arduino IDE.
• Students can test their own projects in C++.
• Ideal for science and technology experiments and research projects.

ROBBO Lab combines learning, experimentation and creativity. It adapts to each learner’s level and helps children understand and create real technology step by step in a motivating way.
